Ron Burgundy, Veronica Corningstone and the rest of the Channel Four News TeamThe wacky Channel Four News Team will move to New York City for the upcoming sequel of the classic comedy film, Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgundy.  Director Adam McKay gave a few hints on what the sequel’s storyline might be, including a possible move to the Big Apple.

“San Diego is too close to Ron’s heart to go away, but we feel that New York City is the Holy Grail for all newsmen,” McKay said in an interview.

The original cast, consisted of Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, Steve Carrell as Brick Tamland, Christina Applegate as Veronica Corningstone and Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana, will reprise their roles. Kristen Wiig of Bridesmaids fame is also joining the cast as well as James Marsden of X-Men, who is said to be taking on the role as a rival news anchor.

The sequel, entitled Anchorman: The Legend Continues, is set for a December 20, 2013 release.
